Haerin (Hangul: 해린) is a South Korean idol under ADOR and a member of the K-pop girl group, NewJeans.
History and Pre-Debut[]
Haerin was born as Kang Hae-rin on May 15, 2006 in Seoul, South Korea.
She attended school until her second year of middle school in 2020, during which she dropped out to become a trainee.

Haerin was revealed as a member of ADOR's upcoming girl group NewJeans on July 21, 2022, subsequently debuting on August 1, 2022 with the mini album New Jeans.
2023: Solo Brand Ambassadorship[]
On April 26, 2023, Haerin was announced as Dior's Newest Jewelry Global Ambassador & Fashion, Beauty House Ambassador.[3]

- She has a younger sister born in 2009 [5]
- She has a female Pomeranian family dog named Banggeul. [6]
- Fans have pointed out that she speaks in a Gyeongsang-do dialect, but Haerin clarified that she has none, being born and raised in Seoul.[7]
- In an online forum, a student claimed to have seen her take her middle school GED.[8] Haerin confirmed that she has taken her GED in the 230829 NewJeans Soundwave FanSign Event. [9]
- In 231028 Phoning Call with Hanni, Haerin stated that she has already graduated from highschool.
- She likes the spaghetti/pasta her father makes for her[10] and mentioned tomato pasta as a staple dish when she was a kid.[11] She showed excitement when a Tokki asked if they like spaghetti in their 231012 Phoning Live with Hanni and Minji, and shared that she likes tomato spaghetti, aglio e olio, and cream spaghetti.
- Her comfort food is Yubuchobap (fried tofu stuffed with rice) which she has eaten since she was little. She suggested to have it on picnics. [12]
- At 231111 Macau Fansign, Haerin was asked what favorite food was, and said that she's not a picky eater but doesn't like pickles (which she also said in the 221203 Phoning Chat).
- Haerin is known for her cat-like facial appearance. She is also fond of cats and one of her phone lock screens is her own drawing of a cat.
- Her famous pose, the Diamond Heart, first appeared at their First NewJeans Phoning Live on 220806. She stated that she did not feel like doing a heart that time and did the diamond heart instead.
- According to the other members, Haerin hides half of her face like a cat when she wants to say something. [13]
- Despite liking the Pickles the Frog Tomato Frog plushie, she still doesn't have one as it is out of stock. [14]
- Her favorite colors are green and blue. [15]
- Haerin is fluent in Korean and may speak in English or Japanese, although she is the least fluent in English of the group at a level similar to Hyein.
- She learns English by copying/observing the other members.
- She was rumored to have played pansori, but later denied it. [13]

- Some fans of Haerin call themselves 좋아해린사랑해린 (joahaerinsaranghaerin, translated as I Like Haerin, I love Haerin). The 해 in Haerin's name matches the ends of Joahae (I like you) and Saranghae (I love you).
- Haerin has two quirks that other members often tease her with:
- She tends to stare at other members for long periods of time, though this might not be intentional.
- She likes to copy their little movements and actions, especially Minji. Even though she gets teased a lot when she gets caught, it is done affectionately as her quirks give her a lovable personality.
- Her favorite season is spring, and she likes the early summer as well.[5]
